Wet cleaning is the cleaning of fabrics in water with the use of detergents and fabric-protectors.
Traditional wet cleaning would be the laundry you are accustomed to at home, whether hand-cleaning or machine washing. The new wet cleaning, aqua-clean or Lagoon clean are advancements on the traditional wet cleaning system with the use of specialised computerised machines, which have various programs that control the amount of water, the amount of very specialised detergents and fabric protectors, the temperature, the mechanical action and the spin speeds. At the completion of the wash cycle, the garments are transferred to a specialised dryer that senses the humidity and dries the garments quickly under pressure.
The latest Lagoon machines, from Electrolux, have the Wool Mark certification for cleaning all woollen garments safely.
